With my eye on the horizon
I follow the terrain of my instincts and check the map of silence.

I am of The Creator, a creator myself. I can choose what I create. I can create dis-ease or I can create harmony. When I choose to stifle my creativity I suffer and those around me suffer. When I create I am returned to whole, I am healed. I choose to express my source through visual art, cooking, writing, cleaning, talking and a myriad of other ways. At this moment on my journey, painting and digital art bring me the most joy and the proper medium for today’s vision. Tomorrow I will go in to the silence and ask the truth of my being, What next?

My work is directed by my meditation. My job is to stay out of the way with my ceaseless mind and to continue to choose to create from the good of me. I take care of the quantity and Spirit the quality.

In meditation I saw a painting of a Being of Light. I did my best to reproduce this vision. Before finishing the first one the vision had begun to shape itself by my instincts toward the process. Many paintings and drawings later I was looking at an energy field similar to the magnetic field repeated in nature, from the tiniest ore to the Earth itself.

This unfolding path of adventure is what my life is about. With my eye on the horizon I follow the terrain of my instincts and check the map of silence.

I've known for some time not to try to portray what my limited senses, filtered by my preconceptions and judgment, present to me at any one moment. My abstract paintings were in an allover style, which led the eye and the mind past the edge of the canvas with a depth and expansiveness rarely found in two-dimensional artwork. Collectors have testified to the healing, calming, and energizing affects of these works

The Beings of Light series has led through fields of energy to a more focused representation of the soul. To the use of fractals, natural repeating patterns, to build illuminated mandalas personalized to individuals I have met. I feel the subject with my heart and see past the façade to an inner light filtered through an earthly journey.
The spiritual essence of a single expression of the creator, a soul portrait. Created entirely of energy and recorded in binary code I have reproduced these images most successfully on a fine translucent silk which uses natural light and air to bring the soul portraits to life.
